Facial volumetry

Juvederm Voluma is an implant in the form of a thick gel, based on hyaluronic acid, using the efficiency of bindings between the cross-linking molecules (BDDE) and hyaluronic acid. A 3D mesh voluma - an effect of this facial volumetric restoring technique - is about 50% thicker than in the case of Surgiderm and Juvederm Ultra. The obtained gel is much more consistent and extremely sufficient. Voluma allows then for a long-lasting restoration of facial firmness and volume in the contours of the face (remodelling of facial volume and chin augmentation). VolumaHow to prepare for the session:

The procedure does not require particular preparation. It is recommended not to take aspirin or anti-inflammatory medications for about 3 days before the procedure. On the day of the treatment it is advised to avoid intensive body heating (sauna, solarium, sun rays), intensive physical activity or using products containing alcohol at the sites of correction. Before the session, make-up should be removed.

After the session:

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and is almost painless. The product is administered subcutaneously with a special blunt cannula needle. Immediately after the session there is a risk of slight redness, swelling or pain at the site of injection, however, these will usually go away within 2 or 3 days. A few hours after the procedure, it is advised to avoid intensive facial expression, as well as touching or massaging the sites of injection. For about 3 days after treatment it is recommended to avoid extensive sun expose and heat (solarium, sauna).

  • diseases secondary to autoimmunologic disorders,
  • skin prone to hypertrophic scars,
  • inflammatory skin disorders (cold sore, acne)
