Silhouette soft

It is a new, safe alternative treatment for any surgical lifting of the face and neck. Silhouette Soft is recommended for men and women of 30 and over, who are trying to neutralise effectively the first signs of ageing, such as:

• loss of skin firmness on the cheeks and lower jaw area
• nasolabial folds
• expression lines
• drooping mouth corners

Effects of the treatment:

• the nasolabial folds are softened,
• the expression lines and other signs of skin ageing are reduced,
• the skin of the neck regains its tone and looks smoother,
• the facial contour is redefined,
• the cheeks and cheekbones look fuller,
• the nasolabial folds are diminished,
• the drooping mouth corners are corrected;

Therapy

The treatment is tailored individually for each patient. The best candidates are patients with little skin flabbiness, having elastic skin and prominent facial bones.

Each suture of Silhouette Soft® is made of transparent material and absorbable cones, which are held deeply in the tissue, causing the face redefinition by lifting the flabby skin. The product is made of polylactic and glycoloc acids and therefore, it is fully absorbed by the organism (after 15-18 months). Once the suture is applied, the polylactic acid acts on the deeper layers of the skin and naturally stimulates the body, so that it produces its own collagen. It helps to increase the volume of saggy areas and restores shapeliness to the face gradually and perfectly naturally. This action continues over time, throughout the following year.

Applying Silhouette Soft® takes only around 30-45 minutes and does not require any incisions or surgical suturing. During the treatment, the patient may experience a slight discomfort, however, the sensation is fully acceptable. Immediately after the session, the patient may leave the clinic. It is possible to return to the everyday activities after a few days. The final lifting effect, without apparent scars or other side-effects (e.g. skin depression at the site of insertion of the suture by a needle), may be admired after about two weeks.

Recommendations after treatment

• within the first six hours following the treatment it is recommended to apply cool compresses on the treated areas,
• it is advised to sleep on your back for the first 3-5 nights,
• during the week following the treatment, do not undergo any dental surgery, avoid facial massages or any beauty treatments and any contact sport,
• the face and hair may be washed as usually,
• during the first 3 weeks following the treatment, it is recommended to reduce facial muscle activity,
• it is also advised to avoid chewing hard products and energetic mouth opening for 4 weeks after the treatment,
• it is recommended to apply effective sun-protection after the treatment;

Possible side effects:

• pain or discomfort during the treatment,
• some slight swelling, redness or bruising may sometimes be observed,
• for some time following the treatment, some patients may experience limited facial expression and tightness of the skin at the site of insertion of the suture by a needle,
• for about 2 weeks, slight skin depression may persist at the site of insertion of the suture;

Contraindications:

The use of SILHOUETTE SOFT® is not recommended in patients who are allergic or sensitive to biomaterials.

Silhouette Soft™ sutures are made of polylactic acid and glycolic acid. These components make the sutures natural and fully absorbable. Silhouette Soft® is made in Michigan in the USA and its development is based on six years of experience in suture suspension. The treatment safety is guaranteed, as the components of Silhouette Soft® are FDA cleared for the US market since 2006. Silhouette Soft® is also cleared for the European market with CE 0499.
